Island Liaison is committed to serving Pacific Islanders and the broader Arizona community. We stay engaged in the community by offering help to those in need, sharing our culture and always speaking up against injustice.

AAPI STRONG Legislative Conference

On October 2021, we attended the AAPI STRONG Legislative Conference hosted by the APIA Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (National ACE). The virtual conference was a platform connecting AAPI business leaders and entrepreneurs with elected officials and policymakers in a bipartisan effort to influence positive legislative change.

Island Liaison President Claudia Kaercher attended the conference and introduced Krystal Ka'ai, the executive director of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI).

Food Drive

Covid-19 Food Drive

The Coronavirus pandemic disproportionately affects the Pacific Islander community.

To help those with limited resources and those affected by unemployment, Island Liaison delivered food to several RMI families who are recovering from COVID-19.

BLM Caravan

Black Lives Matter, today and always. Island Liaison stands in solidarity with the African American community in our collective struggles against racism and white supremacy.

In 2020, Island Liaison participated in the caravan display as a show of support for the BLM movement.

Congratulations to Miss Marshall Islands 2019!

Miss Billma Peters, representing the Mejit Atoll, is the winner of the pageant hosted for the first time by the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI).

School Supplies Drive

Island Liaison supported Mountain Park Health Center (MPHC)'s 2019 NO COST Back-To-School & Sports Physicals Summer Program.

We collaboratively collected school supplies from our generous community and were able to fill 250+ backpacks with supplies for students in need. We are committed to helping our youth and are grateful for the continuous support of our community.

Adoption Fraud Scheme

Island Liaison was involved in humanitarian work helping 8 Marshallese women (considered victims) enmeshed in the Arizona Maricopa County Assessor Paul Petersen Adoption Fraud Scheme.

We collaborated with Asian Pacific Community in Action, Mountain Park Health Center, International Rescue Committee, Phoenix Legal Action Network, Midwives Organization and other supporters to right a wrong that started thousands of miles away and had a tragic impact in Arizona.
