AAPI STRONG Legislative Conference
On October 2021, we attended the AAPI STRONG Legislative Conference hosted by the APIA Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (National ACE). The virtual conference was a platform connecting AAPI business leaders and entrepreneurs with elected officials and policymakers in a bipartisan effort to influence positive legislative change.
Island Liaison President Claudia Kaercher attended the conference and introduced Krystal Ka'ai, the executive director of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI).
Voting Awareness
The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community is the fastest growing demographic in the country.
However, we are often ignored by political parties and campaigns. Island Liaison works to make sure that every eligible voter in our community goes to the poll to make their voice heard.
